And you increase the chances of reaching the user sooner than with a PM. Because if anyone knows that user he can warn him to connect.
Plus, getting a ticket for a match is as important as a thread with a simple joke I'd say, and as it's a personal matter, it's well placed in off topic.

Have you ever received a PM from Bloodiddy?
If so, look at your e-mail, you'll receive a notification, and it puts the sender's e-mail in it (dunno if it's a mistake of the system or it's meant that way).
If an users chooses to keep his e-mail private, the mods should not give it, AFAICT.
Anyhow, I've seen connected him today, so he probably has read your PM already.
