Maybe it's a cultural thing but I couldn't connect with this at all .

OK, I'm only going by the trailer but there's no invention in there at all. Take a look at some of the stuff being produced next door in Thailand, some real invention and jaw dropping "haven't seen that before" action.

Doubt if I'll be looking out for HAQ which is a pity because as far as the production is concerned the film making technical ability is obviously there, unfortunately it's wasted on a pi'ss poor emulation of a thousand movies we've already seen.

Surely Malaysia with it's rich history has more to offer ?

Woof,

thanks mate, that's really good feedback. I just sent it to the director, first bit of truthful feedback we have recieved.

Just a note: yes the stuff coming out of Thailand is good, but their market is so much bigger. We need the malaysian moving going public to watch this twice each for us to break even on the costs of making the movie.

Having said that, with this movie under our belt, we will attempt to do something more innovative in the next movie. Its easier to get funding with a completed movie as trackrecord.

Babu have you seen this little gem from Indonesia ? Features the "local" martial art of "Silat".

Great movie, didn't think Indonesia could turn out something of this quality, right up there with the likes of Ong Bak and Chocolate.

Haven't seen it yet, I'm not really a fan of manga based movies but the trailer does look interesting.
