omg its worst today. visibility right now is about 200m i kid you not.

I am on the 7th floor of an air-conditioned building and I am still choking. Have a headaches and sore eyes. feel sorry for those that work outside because its hundred times worse. This will become a health emergency very soon. My father was admited to hospital last night complaining of breathing and chest pain problems.

I cannot beleive Indonesia is doing f#ck-all to mitigate the effects from the land clearing. maybe if this haze was blowing directly into jakarta they would do something or ask for assistance.

i am quite depressed and can only look forward to leaving malaysia (going on holiday to aus) in september.

it is very smokey today mate, the view from my balcony this morning was just white. the best wa to describe it for the people not here is to say to imagine the worse fog you can have, and then add in a smokey smell, its terrible

public schools in my area have told parents to come and pick up their kids. they have closed due to the haze. not that its going to be much better at home unless they have oxygen tanks.

I have made a decsion. I going to get my extra long garden hose, hop in my inflatable dinghy, paddle across the straits and put these f#ckin fires out myself. tomorrow you will see me on tv accepting my 'national hero' medal. :p

Today's haze is particularly bad.

With this prolonged haze, the situation is much worse than the one in 1998 (or was it 1997?).

Godspeed, Babu, go and save the situation! If you are anything like Rambo or John Dux (Arnold Schwarzeneger in "Commando"?), and believe the genre film of the 80s, you can't win a war or save crises with a mass and well planned measures, you only need 1 muscle-bound man (with no definite plans but improvise along the way) to take care of the whole situation.
