While I prefer football, I have more respect for rugby players than footballers. There is no such thing as a hard man in football (vinnie jones was a coward and just did dirty tackles). They also respect the ref.

France were awesome.

Ireland have  a mental block though in Paris. I've  never seen this team make so many unforced errors. They just don't believe they can win in France.

I only really got into it properly during the Lions tour of SA. I remember that 2nd test in Pretoria was brutal. Makes you look at footballers these days and you just think how pathetic they are for diving at every chance in the box.

You gotta hand it to the French as well mate....they were awesome and played some fantastic flowing rugby....I don't think we knew what hit us in the first 20 minutes....And as for Healy getting sinbinned so early on - well, that was plain stupid. Flannery also needs a good batin' for his carry on....But all in all, I don't think we played too badly despite the scoreline.
As you say, a few too many schoolboy errors. And if we'd made that try before half-time it would have been a different game....
Onwards and upwards - we'll batter the English at Twickenham  :D

we were level after 20 minutes!

If the ball has bounced for Darcy we'd have gone ahead and it woulld have been a different game. The sin bin and Flannery's stupidity put France in control. When France is in front at home and confident they are deadly.

Rugby League
Aussie Rules
Rugby 7s
Gaelic
Canadian

Have to admit, League is better than Union. Union is now all about kicking the fecking thing down one end and back to the other.

I knew of rugby when i was growin up. My uncle played for wales u-21, but had to retire with a heart problem. but only really got into it when i went to uni in cardiff where its kinda everywhere. i love the sport, but it'll never beat football. though i do share the same thoughts about all this diving or going down at the slightest touch.
