He's playing really, really well at the moment. I'd expect him to see him back in Europe soon.

cheers for that mate because to be honest with you,you hear very little over here about whats going on in Australia regarding the game.I probably wasnt the only one who has compared the current Australian team with the old Man utd youth team (Beckham,Giggs,Nevilles, scholes etc) in the same way that they all came around in agroup, but that group is now getting old with no new talent replacing them.

Any port in a storm...St Mick!!!  :p

But we'll qualify for 2006...The planets are alighning in Australia's favour...and I'll tell you why.

Australia's first and only appearence in the World Cup was in the 1974. Where were those finals held? Germany.

I attended Australia's last qualifying match at the Sydney Sports Ground with my father when I was a lil' tacker.

The 2006 World Cup finals are in Germany and on Wednesday night I will take my own son to Sydney's Telstra Stadium to watch Australia in their last qualifying match before booking their passgae to Germany. Unfortunately, my Dad will be there in spirit only.

Anything else will prove there is no God!!!     :D

6th generation Australian from Irish & Scottish stock. Did visit Britain in 1988 (which included a trip to Liverpool - no games at the time though :( )

I also attended Wembley to watch the Rouse Cup between England (John Barnes played that day) & Columbia...I just cried and cried and my wife thought I was a dickhead.  :wwww

Why do you ask??

Rugby League & Aussie Rules are the two biggest codes. My Dad was an administrator of the game here and I played until I was 17 (played all my junior matches with Craig Johnston who went on to play with some tin pot pommie club), when injury put paid to any apirations I had in the game. I was a reasonable player and was turning out for my local senior team at 15, but nothing to set the world alight.

I'm now Development Manager with my little Tasmanian club (www.klusc.org.au), so trying to bring all the little tackers on and show them what a wonderful game we have.

That's all, nothing too special. I just love the game, and have been a LFC supporter since I used to watch 'Match of the Day' (previous week's game) of a Monday night through the crack in my bedroom door. Emlyn Hughes (I called myself Emlyn for years) was my hero!!!   :buttrock

St Mick...England by 15.
Australia are :censored: at the moment. The coach has to go and half the players have to retire. Time to bring the youngsters on.

Thanks Phil...we all try to do our bit.

If I can be so bold...I'd like to share my philospohy on life with you all (if I can beg your forgiveness)

Power doesn't come from what you own,
it comes from watching your actions change the world.

In other words, every little bit we do can have that ripple effect and ultimately you change the world, even if only by a smidgeon.

The philosopher has left the building!!!  :eyebrow
