What are your world cup plans?

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

Right folks. The title has pretty much asked what I want to know.

What will you be doing during the World Cup 2006? Where will you watch the games? What rituals (if any) will you be adhering to?

Me and the little woman are hoping to get the keys to the flat we're buying before the end of May, and I'm seriously toying with the idea of buying a projector and a big screen, inviting the lads round and stocking up the dedicated beer fridge! :D

It all hinges on whether or not we can get everything sorted (we're gutting the entire place and fitting a new kitchen, bathroom, etc.), and if I will be able to afford to buy a projector after all the work!!!! (I might have a crafty word with Mr Cred It Card.   :D )

So anyway - I'm just curious to see what you chaps and chapettes will be up to.

One of the great things about World Cup time is that my wife understands that I will want to watch footy every day.  She gets into the spirit of it and enjoys the fact that everyone's on the same side.  We get back from Dubai on the Saturday morning of England's first match, and we're flying through the night so I'll be knackered for that one.  I've got a feeling that England will either go out early or get to the final, not do their normal quarter-final thing.  It could be very memorable...

Just purchased my new Pioneer 106cm HD plasma screen. It was intalled for the FA Cup actually (what a debut!!!).

So I have six weeks off work (like Laza, pure coincidence :D  )

Lot of late nights down here in Oz...  I hope I'm alive when Australia gets to host the World Cup in 2018 or 2022.

Watching all three group games here in Oz, then flying back to London before the start of the knockout stages. God I hope we're still in it by then, coming back to see friends and family and of course to soak up the buzz and atmosphere of it all. I know that when the world cup's on there is no better place to be in than England the place rocks .

Manhattan has Sky Plus, on a large TV screen.

He will use them to analyse the strategy of Togo.

I've always been meaning to ask you, Manhattan - why do you refer to yourself in the third person?

Are you an oddball!?!  :D

It's become a habit for Manhattan to use the third person.

Like cocaine......except Manhattan still has his septum.
