Rafa benitez appreciation thread - Part 2

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

the main reason most people are having a go at Rafa, isnt to have a go at Rafa, but t have a go at the posters who are abusing Roy, its just childish

Exactly its childish - so why do it ? It is ruining the place - yes i know the other supposed side of this imaginary fence are also contributing .

But why not just leave them to make idiots of themselves and take the moral high ground and come and post in here just to wind people up - thats two people now both yourself and Mick that has admitted they are just posting to get a reaction - yet both of you have had a massive high horse over the last couple of months about the state of the forum yet without realising the things your doing and your supposed respectful crowd (not all of them ) are playing a full part in the problem .

im just sticking to Rafa now. Not taking the bait here

Rafa was class for us, but i dont care how he does anymore, and since hes had a few digs at the current management, i may have a little friendly dig at him, but that doesnt mean i dont respect what he did for us a while ago

There is no bait Dawson - its not a wind up its just saying that the hypocrisy on the site currently is massive and people need to look in the mirror and see that they are also a part of the problem .

As for Rafa - well i was a massive fan of him as everyone is no doubt aware and i will always believe with better owners we would of been more successful - i know and will never deny last season was a mare and awful .

It could of been two things - a one of bad season OR the start of a downward spiral

Now there is no way to say which it is - there will only be an opinion .

Im off the opinion it was a bad season -

Would i take him back - yes in a flash , do i hope he returns - yes i do .

we can give him another 5 year contract, then another 6 million when hes sacked..again

he was great for us. but last year he lost it, i think he lost the dressnig room. I think he made too many bad buys and it was time for a different approach. I personally dont think it matters how many cool soundbites he gives, it was still right for him to go.

and he laneded on his feet so fair play to him, and good luck to him as well

Different Approach ? In what way exactly

What exactly is the main goal - to win the prem yes ?

Yes Rafa didnt win the prem - no one at Liverpool has for 20 years now BUT he got us a damn sight closer than anyone else had - so IMO he does have the ability to win the prem .

in. my. opinion. Rafa. had. to. go.

thats my opinion, which was shared by a majority on here. we needed change... we needed him gone. we played bad football last season. he made bad buys. the players didnt seem to respond to him (in my opnion, but we all saw Stevies face the time he pulled off Torres) It was time for change... again in my opinion, and others!

I could draw you a picture, type it in braille, write it into a limerick, youd still keep asking the same thing to wind me up!

They were wrong about rotation, wrong when they said he was the new Shankly, wrong when they said we were "progressing" season by season, wrong when they said he should have stayed, and wrong when they say he should come back now. At least they are consistent.

I wonder if the Inter fans will buy into the "bottle of milk" mallarkey or whether they are beginning to think they have made an almighty feck up. It's one thing finishing 7th and then getting a new bloke in who also finishes about 7th, it's quite another when you win five league titles on the bounce, win the Champions League and the new bloke comes in and fecks it up. Never mind about some people not being able to spot a priest in a bowl of sugar or whatever the feck it was, if Rafa doesn't pull his finger out those that love him will be adding "but we don't have to pay any com-pen-say-shun" to the list of reasons why we should go backwards.

Second in the table - still prob going to advance in the CL to the knockout stages .

Think that suggests that the Inter fans will be fine with the way things are going - its not like he has had the team in the relegation zone or anything , or been beaten by a team at the bottom level of the league or being totally outplayed by local rivals .

You keep forgetting to put IN YOUR OPINION when you say people where wrong about things because it isnt fact it is off course just your opinion .
