Rafa is on his way out, the supporters don't want him there and I don't think any of the Chelsea players do. Usually when a new manager comes in, there is an air of optimism, the players seem rejuvenated and seem to have a hunger to impress and succeed, that's not there for Rafa Benitez.

I can see him getting his marching orders and I really do think that will be just one more nail in his managerial coffin. I think the best thing Rafa should do is go to a smallish team, someone like a Swansea and build them up because the big hitters of Europe aren't going to touch him with a barge-pole.

Do you really give a sh** about Chelsea and Benitez

To tell you the truth no I don't.

More concerned with how 'some' of our fans want Chelsea to do well now though. Like (on RAWK) beating Fergie to a title challenge.

That's small time mentality I'm afraid.

I don't go on RAWK so I am unable to comment on any individual from that site, but I can comment for myself...I couldn't give a gnats pi** about the success or non success of other clubs;I want us to win every trophy up for grabs including league cup, fa cup, europa cup and league. If we are unable to achieve that I certainly don't have a second choice........What I have realised on this forum is there are some so called Liverpool supporters who couldn't care if we don't win some of the trophies I have named...just look at last season for example.

Just too re-iterate who cares about Chelsea......some of you are like school ground kids bickering

And yet you are the one campaigning for Benitez to be here next season instead of Rodgers.  :no

Tell me sunshine, in what universe does it make any logical sense that you want us to "do well" in all competitions yet inadvertently want Rodgers out?

If we did well in all our remaining competitions there would be NO reason for Benitez to return.

Doesn't work both ways mate, if you want our club to do well, you get behind OUR current manager and keep your silly gob shut about anyone else managing any other clubs........

Rafa's stint at Chelsea will reveal nothing about his ability as a coach imo, he's in a lose lose situation. Everyone knows he's not wanted there and the players can happily put half a shift in and Rafa will kop the abuse (forgive the pun).

The problems at Chelsea FC are far deeper rooted than Rafael Benitez, and ironically they started when the won the CL. Di Matteo wouldn't have been a success in the long term but he earned his shot but Roman even showed he was hesitant in taking so long to give him the contract. Then they let Lukaku go on loan and Drogba leave, effectively putting their faith in Bruno - who's fall from grace has been nothing short of spectacular.

In the summer they didn't patch up their defensive issues and simply bought an abundance of attacking midfielders - so now they've got a lot of creativity and noone to finish it off (remind you of anyone). Put simply I don't think this Chelsea side have goals in them and the squad is so paper thin. Rafa's attacking options in one game was Victor Moses, and that says it all.

Good luck Rafa but I think your time will be before June

the fact that the morons who support chelsea are slagging rafa off already and are taking banners to the game having a go at him shows just how clueless and fickle they are.

they need to forget "rafa out". the real problem there who they should be venting their frustrations at are the owner.

Very true.

I do feel for Rafa though, he's been brought in by Abramovich who has unrealistic expectations. He's been brought in and expected to change the fortunes of Chelsea around instantly, which is a deeply unrealistic expectation. Add the fact there seems to be a divide between Abramovich and the supporters and Rafa is being used as a pawn by the Chelsea supporters to show their defiance.

I doubt he'll be manager there beyond December.

It depends on who buys the club.

People like Abramovich, Monsur and those Qatari's at Malaga are not good for the game of football. These people are destroying football and destroying football clubs.

Would this excuse be validated had he come in and won his 3 opening games?

I actually feel kinda bad for the guy.  He done a great job at Valencia and with us.  Has won plenty of Domestic and European trophies despite never having the kind of budget that say Jose has had.
Always thought he was unfairly sacked by us after one bad season.  (Despite 5 good seasons)

Inter never gave him a proper chance.  Sacked him even though they were through to the last 16 of CL.

The media over here seem so desperate to paint him to be an awful manager.  Worse than Moyes, Hodgson or Pardew if you believe them.

Its not a surprise that he is struggling at Chelsea.  Drogba is gone, Lampard + Terry are getting old, Torres is s.hit and not a single fan wants him there. The thing is, I don't understand why Chelsea have such high expectations.. they finished 6th in the league last year and anyone with a brain could tell you that they were the luckiest team to ever win the CL.

After all he did for Liverpool I find it a bit sad to see people saying things like "He's ruined 3 CL winning clubs".
He didn't ruin Liverpool, wasn't given a chance at Inter and has only been at Chelsea for less than 2 weeks!

I hope Chelsea sack him in a few weeks throwing that club into further turmoil and he goes back to Spain or something to rebuild his career.

Id say he probably does care though.  He wants to be a successful football manager and I dont see him being offered a top job if he doesn't get Chelsea back on track.
