Benitez set to leave Inter

It is a question of when, rather than if, Rafa Benitez`s tenure as Inter Milan coach is officially brought to an end in the coming days. The manner in which his spell in charge at the San Siro is formally concluded could end up being resolved by the lawyers in order to determine whether Benitez quits or is dismissed - along with the quantity or eligibility of any compensation.

It is true, as has been reported in the media today, that Rafa Benitez is currently on Merseyside and is enrolling his children at school in the area and it is where he intends to settle once his involvement with Inter is concluded.

He is deeply disappointed by his experience in Serie A where he found his role limited to that of simply a coach and although numerous signings were discussed – Mascherano, Kuyt, Lucas Leiva – he was frustrated that the club failed to deliver.
If I were to make an educated guess as to where Benitez will most likely end up after Milan, I would have to say that out of the three big European leagues, a return to the Premier League would suit him best and would be his preferred option.

The guy will always split our fan base for years to come.

To be honest it says a lot about the state we're in under the current manager that nobody wants to even talk about the current side or team because it's just too utterly depressing.

Yet as soon as Rafa goes everybody flocks back here in their droves to either stick up for the guy or put the boot in.

Personally it's time we moved on from Rafa. However the more concerning thing is that under this bloke we've got now, the only way we're moving is backwards.

Its Chrimbo, we need something to smile about (even though it probably won't happen), its nice to be debating something potentially positive, after all the negativity this season under Roy.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Good to see you back Rafa !!

Do you also respect how he took loads of compensation in severence pay despite knowing that the club was financially fecked, before heading straight off to Inter and getting even more compo. Oh he really loves LFC doesn't he.  :no

Totally agree, in fact I think we all agree that Roy is not the manager that Liverpool needs.
