Congrats Rafa.

Bring him home John Henry !!!!

I ask this seriously, why exactly are you so captivated by Benitez? Have you ever met the man? I'm genuinely intrigued as to what it is exactly that has you so besotted with Rafa.

Of course you are well within your rights to like or dislike whoever you please, but you're absolutely obsessed with the man. Yeah he seems like a pretty decent guy, and he also seemed to genuinely care about the fans and club, but you carry on like he cured cancer and brought an end to world poverty.

He got us, from his first press conference to his latest one, he fought for us and exposed twit & tw@t, exposed Fergie and the refs up their holes, he won us the CL for keeps & The FA Cup, he got us the most points ever in the league, if it hadnt have been for the Gerrard saga I believe we would have won it.

He donated a lot of his pay of to various merseyside charities, and him and his wife done an awful lot behind the scenes for the local community and local charities.

His wife is a very humble woman and a lady.

I appreciate everything this man done for us, he was the best manager we had since Kenny its a shame he didnt win us the league, but he made me happy and gave us some of the best nights of our lives.

Lets list his Cons too:

- Big Ego

- Blames everyone but himself for mistakes

- Control freak

- Poor in the transfer market

Congrats Rafa on the World Club Championship

i have to say it is Rafa is getting tiresome with his contant blaming of everyone else but himself for his failures, the man needs to take a look in the mirror sometimes.

I think hes within in his rights to ask to bring a few of his own choice of players in tbh, I think the same is true of Roy Hodgson. Most managers play a specific system and in order for it to work correctly it needs the right kind of player. Rafa was always going to struggle to get a team of 30+ year olds who had just won everything to totally change their playing style from deep sitting counter attack to high pressure pressing game, and Roy was never going to get high quality players like Torres and Agger to play long ball  :D  Seriously in both of those managers cases alot of people are being quick to stick the boot in when they havnt had the proper opportunity to show what they can do.

can't agree mate, you just don't become from a treble winning team to an average mid table team in one season. Its Rafa's responsibility, and frankly I'm getting sick and tired he direct his blame away from himself. At his disposal he still has the best players. AC Milan has the oldest squad in the league, but hey they are doing better than Inter.

He's clearly trying to engineer a move away from Inter. He is purposely p!ssing off the Inter management.

His recent comments in the press don't stand up. He complains about lack of investment (or at least gives an ultimatum for transfer money) yet he has inherited a double winning squad! Makes no sense.

Italian press reckon his days are numbered. He clearly wants out also. Whether he just wants severance pay or is sniffing around here hoping to take advantage of a possible Hodgson departure?

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has criticised comments made by coach Rafa Benitez in the wake of the Italian side's Club World Cup victory.

Having seen his side beat TP Mazembe 3-0 on Saturday, the Spaniard urged the Inter board to back him.

Moratti denied Benitez had spoiled the victory, but added his comments "were not suitable for the situation".

"For the moment the Inter fans are happy," said Moratti. "It is not the moment to ask for reinforcements."

When pressed on the future of Benitez, Moratti, who had been ambiguous in his support of the former Liverpool boss leading up to the Club World Cup win, said: "I'm not going to talk about Benitez for the moment."

Saturday's victory over Congolese side TP Mazembe represents their fifth trophy of 2010, but they are well off the pace in this season's Serie A.

They have won just one of their last six league games and although they have two games in hand they lie seventh in the table, 13 points behind leaders AC Milan.

This mediocre start to the season - in part due to a host of injuries to key players - has put Benitez's job on the line barely seven months after Moratti appointed him to succeed Jose Mourinho.

Speaking after Saturday's victory, Benitez said: "There are three possibilities for the club. One, 100% support for the coach and buy four or five players to build a stronger team with competition among the players to be able to carry on winning matches and trophies.

"Two, carry on like this without a project, without planning, and go ahead with one person to blame, for the whole season.

"The third," he added, "is to speak to my agent to reach an agreement if there is not this support. Simple."

Despite admonishing Benitez for demanding new players, Moratti praised Inter's coach for the way he masterminded the win.

"He managed the game very well, I saw his handywork," said the Inter president.

Under former coach Mourinho last season, Inter won the Serie A title, the Italian Cup and the Champions League.

------------

His days are numbered.

An ageing an injury prone side and they sold their attacking wildcard and you still wouldn't have brought anyone else in? If anything they should have been strengthening anyway as a pre emptive measure given how old they are.

Would love him back here personally. Get rid of the shyte excuse for a manager we have now.

Can you imagine if Roy had made those comments after beating Chelsea - he'd have got murdered and rightly so.

At least if he came back we'd be £5million better off as he'd surely return our cash. Sounds like a plan.

Rafa is really messing it up at Inter. The team is pretty much the same as the one that won the treble last year. They lost Balotelli but he wasn't exactly a key player for them.

Rafa's management of players and relationship with his subordinates and superiors has always been a big weekness but his ability has generally come through but it isn't at Inter.

He will be out of a job soon enough and probably back to Spain.

Rafa's EGO strikes again. first he cracks up in a press conference and now he's attacking the owners (of Inter) again...
“You cannot transfer the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club, although I am sure there are many clubs who would like to buy it.”
