Thats what I say, I thank Owen for the great times but LFC can live without him and bring in players capable of scoring goal :;):

The reason why there are so many "Is Owen coming back etc...postsis the lack of an established and fit striker in outr team. I've watched a fair few games this season and have often wondered how many owen would have got (goals) in thsi team. My estimation is a LOT :D

Our style of play suits his game and lets face it , even when our style didn't suit him he still filed his boots..

Gone but not forgotten :)

i think it's a possibility that owen will come back. but that wont happen till he wears out his welcome at real and that wont be happening until either his forms plummits or real get annoyed with his injury problems
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,

Who the hell knows what is going on Real Madread except that they are doing things in their best interest?

I heard that they are trying to get Eto'o for the old English players. Maybe its Adriano. Who knows.

Luxemburgo seems to be good at hype and talk so it will be fun to see him squirm around.

Seems that too much of football is talk and speculation. Don't know what to believe anymore. Following the transfers talks is like being a part of a huge rumor mill.
Mourinho was customizing his flashy blue racing car -- applying the finishing touches of go-faster stripes, aerodynamic spoilers and a fat f@ck you exhaust -- while on his red car, Benitez was trying to glue together a broken chassis, repair bodywork and replace burst tyres.

Don't want Owen back, Don't need Beckham, Woodgate is a sick boy...
We can see what kind of team Rafa wants to build. A cohesive unit.
Please dun link Owen back, even if he's outta Real, he'll never be back at LFC.
Move on, we have got a better team in LFC to build on.

Beckham is second to none in crossing? ???
The football world is so farking big...
In terms of ball distribution, Becks is half of what Riquelme is, 3/4 of what De La Pena and Aimar is, Figo is slightly better...

I could never understand why Owen actually went to Madrid.......ok  new challenge etc etc,  but he should of realised there is no way he would  replace Ronaldo or Raul  and then of course Morientes who just so  happens to be best mates with Raul who is considered in the same terms as Robbie Fowler or King Kenny  here , only he also happens to have a huge influence with the board at Madrid.

Personally  i think he made a huge mistake going there  ,not just about leaving Liverpool but  for professional reasons.

There is now talk about him  been sold !  kinda doesnt do your confidence much good me thinks, plus the fact i actually think he sh!t on Liverpool , Ok alot of you will say  " look at the service he has given the club " .......fair comment , but he always said he would never do a Macca .......yes we got a few quid , but he left at the worst possible moment , right at the end of the transfer market  which as we  all are aware of left us short in strikers .
What really leaves me sick about waht he did  was that right up until he left he promised to  sign a new contract, if he wanted to leave why couldnt he say so at the beginning instead of lying .

Personally i think if he is sold on then its sweet justice for what he did  to Liverpool . We are all supporters  and want the best for the club , he wont come back  so why  dream about it ? he shat on Liverpool and thought he was moving onto better things .
He has found that life isnt all thats its cracked up to be  where he is  and that Real  can be a very cold  place to be  even when it is hot and the sun is shining

If you think he is shi1te, then name the player who is better crosser than him in the world?

I've not seen him cross a decent ball in 2 years.

I've not seen him play a decent game in 2 years either.

Like McManaman, he's well out of his depth. A one trick pony that should have known his limitations. If he stayed on the rhs of midfield at the same club, and did the one thing, cross the ball, you may have a case.

Fact of the matter is he didnt, and his career is in shambles. He is the walking joke of the city of Madrid. There's not a week that goes by he is not ridiculed in the Spanish papers.

Beckham is definitely one of the best crossers in the game & arguebly one of the best free kick specialists - but he can't dribble past people, he hasn't really cut it in central midfield - which is his alleged preferred position - depends what you are measuring him on - I honestly think he was bought for the merchandising & as a luxury player
If he could regain his form on the right - he was a good player for the scum
but there are much better right sided midfielders just in Europe alone

Anyway - back to the original thread
I can't really see Owen coming back to Liverpool, if he's shipped out this early - cause he would probably be to embarrassed - the bottom line is (as other people have said)
Nobody has a Scooby what's going to happen now they have there 3rd new manager in the space of a year - any new coach that comes in, has a different approach and a different view of his assets
The other thing is - there will always be stories like this - because they sell tabloids - End Of

This get him back nonsense should stop. Owen is not the player he used to be 5 years back. Liverpool knew this. And now Real has found out the hard way. They thought Owen was a great player. Now they know differently. Why should we take him back? His attitude is bad for team morale, and his work ratio is pizz. We need players like Garcia and Baros who work their azz off for their team mates. Honestly I can't see what should stop his career being another McManaman, Gazza or David Platt. We don't have money to burn, and we can't waste it on a judas midget.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

If Beckham is good on crossings, then he could get a job as a 'Lolipop Lady' when he is finished at RM.

Can't see the logic of Owen returning to LFC, he left under a bit of a cloud looking for megga bucks and stake a claim at RM but it seems to have failed (so far).

Why would he want to return to LFC? Not sure he is still the player he once was but then again good for the odd 20 goals in the Premier, OK we'll have him!!!! ???

The most clueless ****** in forum posting returns!!!

Everytime you open your gob it reminds me how stupid and knowledgeless you actually are.

Owen's so poor he's Madrid's second top scorer with 7 goals and yet he struggles to play down to the favouritsm of Raul and Ronaldo, its his first season in a new country aswell.

Get a ****** clue you stupid know nothin tosspot. Your pathetic comments prove you can't stand english players, you're either racist or haven't got a clue about the game. Have you ever actually seen Owen play? You're ****** clueless lad. Infact u must be man utd fan because no liverpool supporter would come out with the ****** you chat i tell ya. Owen's not this, he's not that, he's not as good as Baros.

Baros BEST EVER total in a season is 12, Owens WORST EVER in a season is 13. He even managed 19 (17 in the league) last season when he was starved of service, playing in a team which miserabley lacked form he himself wasn't at his best and he missed 3 months with injury.

I'll put it simply for you now dickstain. If you score 20 goals in a season, thats good. Even if you play 50 games every minutes and are the main striker. Thats still excellent. How many players do that a season in one country at the top level? 5? maybe? 6? Owen's done it nearly every year in his career.

Now he got 19 last season, according to you, he didn't put much effort in, i disagree. According to me, he was off form for long periods and was missing for three months of the season with injuries.

Now the fact that he haardly played his best, put no effort in and missed a third of the season, yet still managed to outscore 90% of the players in the league doesn't tell you anything?

Like i said idiot, everytime you open your mouth, you remove all doubt i had that you are a know nothing maggot.

i would love to see owen back here, the problems we have at the minute, but i just can't see him leaving real madrid so soon, i would say he wants to prove himself out there as a top class player, cause he has proved himself in england
