Well that's Spanish refs for you, it's nothing personal, they make mistakes all the time. I didn't see the match but he also got wrong some decissions in the other way, as far as I've read.

As for Kazza, good luck, I think that you still have some chances to qualify, Island has to beat Denmark, and you have to beat us.

Spain was quite hurt when we lost in Northern Ireland, it was hard blow for the pride and players will seek revenge, but at the same time Spanish players when not under pressure can be bullied. Make a couple of hard tackles at the start of the game to show you're serious about winning, and cross fingers, everything is possible :) Good luck

Thanks Sabre!! It was a great match. I was very surprised that they played at all. We had very heavy rain and the pitch was completely flooded, but then that probably went in our favor. I really looking forward to Spanish match. I think they will be out to beat us and prove a point. Should be a good one.

Crouch should have let his head and feet do the talking on wed. But instead ...

"David Beckham is a fantastic player, Crouch said.If you have someone like that in the side, I know I just need to get in the box because if he can find half a yard, he is going to whip a cross in..."

What will now be in the minds of Gerard, Lampard, J Cole or Shaun WP .... 'We aren't good enough in crosses for u in the past?'

That's uncalled for remarks to the press isn't it.

Manhattan would sell his soul to Satan if he let Croatia beat England at the concrete bowl and for Russia to beat Andorra.

I can see them starting off with Beckham on the right and then maybe bringing SWP in later in the match depending on how the match is going.

how about having a winger with pace that can do damage from open play instead of an aging slow pub league celebrity with a great cross?

Am going the game tonight, will be strange as i haven't seen England live since i was at school. Neil Webb scored the last time i saw them at Wembley. Was dreading this match a week ago, assumed it was gonna be a meaningless boo-fest but the atmosphere should be pretty good after the Israel-Russia game. Am looking forward to seeing the new stadium. Let's hope the cretins in white and red don't boo the opposition national anthem this time around.

As for McClaren, i'm not a big fan but if he gets the team to the Euros then it would be pretty cruel to deny him the chance to lead them out. Besides, i can't really see many candidates out there to replace him can you? Wenger and Maureen have already ruled themselves out, i doubt the FA would go near Scholari again, there isn't a single Englishmen in possession of a big job in the top flight (and neither will there be for the next 10 years or so) so that pretty much, only leaves someone like Gus Hiddink as a replacement.

Watching Spain - Northern Ireland.

I'd be happy if NI qualified, it would be a reward for their hard work. It's gonna be difficult, but good luck.
