i am starting to worry for england even if sven's gone, what about mclaren? i have absolutely no confidence in him

If women had been playing there wouldn't have been the rucks on the pitch that we have seen.

It seems to me that sportsmen are always vying for a punch up.

To get back to the match. I don't agree with you Dawson,
don't think Rooney deserved to be sent off and he could have been crucial to the penalty shoot out.
Don't blame the lads for the misses as they were all tired.

Portugal definately don't deserve to go through as has been mentioned here. Hope they are taken apart in the next round.

Would like to see Brazil go all the way.

Well england lost, i guess it was our own fault really we were sh.it as usual til rooney was sent off then we just couldnt score, neither team deserved to win really but there you go, england are rubbish at pens, they bottled it in the end. Im not as bothered as i thought i would be about them going out, we'll just have to come back next time and actually try

Most likely. If this was liverpool and not england i guess i would be crying myself to sleep now but i just dont have the same feelings for england, i found that when that last penalty was fired in i wasnt heartbroken in the slightest, it was like watching a neutral match. Of course i would rather they won but it hasnt ruined my day that they didnt. Time to focus on the mighty LFC and our fight for the title!!!! :buttrock

Sven's tactics for England have always been horrible. I don't know why he couldn't get it right. I question so much of what he has done. Why bring theo walcott if you don't have the confidence in him to play at least a minute? Why not bring another striker? Use players with more pace like Lennon. If lampard isn't doing it then put in another player. Thank god he is gone. I really hope Mclaren does a retooling and gets rid of old players and brings a fresh look and attitude.

Oh i dont know, i dont really care about being world champions, we've got a really excting prem season with liverpool to look forward to, i would rather wint he premiership with liverpool than win the world cup with england, i just dont feel anywhere near the same with england. Of course i would like us to be world champions but ah well we didnt perform so we dont deserve to win it, let it go to the best team and we will be back to fight next time with a better manager

maybe he could hav ebring fowler instead of walcott when fowler could possibly finish the job better than lampard or rooney when the chance is presented, even if he's only on the pitch for 5 minutes
