Agreed and thanks for your message by the way. We've seen all that papperazzi that follows Beckham around everywhere and Gerrard has to put up with that as it is from what i heard from the world cup.

Certainly on crosses and dead balls he's up there with the best ever in my book . How many times (last night for example) would we have welcomed his dead ball skills.

But as you point out , if it was a real possibility would we want the circus that would follow him ? probably not .

It's a tricky one Woof and of course it's all completely hypothetical. But then the 'circus' that comes with him is really just all the attention and :censored: that would be in the press. should we really give a toss about anything the no-nothing hacks write about? He's still a very good player but unfortunately fans can't see past all the :censored: and i don't just mean the fact he is an adopted manc. There is a lot of animosity from other fans because of his very public image, glitzy lifesyle and perhaps more importantly, the fact the media turned against him for the last couple of years.

In purely footballing terms.

would he improve our team? Yes
Would he cost the club a transfer fee? No
Would he come if wanted? Yes

Two things: 1. After last nights game, you could do with him!
2. He has standards.  :rasp

Is that any better?

You'd sign Carrick???

He has to be the most overrated player since Andy Cole

I've insulted Beckham in his language whenever he came to San Sebastian.

But I respect him as a footballer. Many thought, I for one, that he was going to fail in Madrid. Fail as in not playing. Real Madrid is a club I don't like but they do not waste time with players, and Beckham made himself a spot in that team.

IMHO his set pieces are something any club would use. Not direct shots perhaps, but those free kicks to put the ball in the area, I can't think of a better player than him, he's even better than Alonso.

He doesn't run, he doesn't tackle, yet he's a good right midfielder. I don't like him in the middle. We don't have a specific right midfield so we could use him.

But I don't see it happening because he has lots of offers from Japan, Saudi Arabia, meaning that any team that wants him will have to assume very high wages. Plus Real Madrid will want some decent money too.

So would I use him in current LFC? Yes, I would.

Would it be worth the money? I don't think so.

Sorry mate but the Kop hate Beckham and Beckham hates us. He's a Manc through and through. He grew up playing for them and I wouldn't want that tit anywhere near our club.

I know that and where he comes from, and as I've said I insulted him always. Just tried to separate supporter feelings from what I think as a footballer. I suffered his game as he was in the oposition team, he's played for Manchester and Real Madrid, teams I hate. Still, I appreciate him as a footballer.

Beckham should join the Chicago Fire or LA Galaxy.

Run his academies and make appearances at awards shows and so forth.

Sounds like a good life.

thats absoluite rubbish. no one would pay that, unless they were to make money off it as well, or they get 100% of his image rights (which is what is equated into the money if u ask me)

sham of a mockery of a media hyped bunch of baloney where money is concerned

Imagine the money Galaxy will make via merchandise and a worldwide selling brand!

It'll make the £500K a week seem insignificant!

Ludicrous
