Is there a possibility og second - Maybe ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Were sitting 3rd in the table 6 points behind Chelsea. We still have them Arsenal and Man united to come but all at anfield. They havent looked good recently and have drawn with the likes of fulham and reading and just luckily beaten Wigan. They Face Aston villa Tommorow and they are a good side. They will be without captain Gareth Barry but i think chelsea could be on the low and Villa could possibly sneak a point or maybe all 3.  I think there still could be a chance of us gettin 2nd

When we lose we won't finish in the top four, when we win we're the best thing since slice of bread.

Chelsea have dropped points but a seven point gap [which could be more tomorrow] is not easy to cut down. We would have to keep winning and we have to play Arsenal,Chelsea and Manure at Anfield still.

tbh i'd be more then happy to keep the 3rd position we have now. bit optomistic to think we could pinch 2nd but it would be some acheivment considering our poor away form early season.

If we go on a hot streak, not dropping points for a couple of months, I fancy the gap to be severely cut down. Man U and Chelsea have dropped points recently, and I think there are more dropped points ahead for them.

The ball's in our court really. No more Blackburn-style results and it could be interesting.

Come on what? We would have to win every single game and they would have to lose quite a lot of games for us to win the league.

It's not going to happen. Why can't people just take their red blinkers off and accept that? We don't deserve to win the league, not with our away record.

Why the :censored: not lad? they hve to go to arsenal, us, chelsea, spurs, everton, and also an away manchester derby. Thats 18 POINTS well and truly up for grabs.

Thye :censored: up at newcastle and west ham, what to say they cant in some of those 6 aways, and some no mark teams steal a draw here or there.

Ofcourse we will have to go unbeaten now. We're barely half way through the season FFS! Its that old cliche, but remember Istanbul.

The Reds are coming up the hill boys..

Ofcourse there is a possibilty, its not impossible! Mathematically we are still in the title race and taking second spot, MATHEMATICALLY! so it is POSSIBLE.

Well taking Mathematics aside, I don't know if we can get second, I think we will be close, but Chelsea wouldn't want to drop anymore points and for us to go on a winning streak and an unbeaten run is a bit hard don't you think? it is possible I think we can do it, but its tough.

Are you saying they are going to lose everyone of those games, cmon will ya!!!

Get into the real world for gods sake, we have no chance of winning the league this year. Third possibly second is our best bet.
