Besides trying to improve/change Kuyt/Lucas/insua and Ngog
would be futile at best. They suck, period. And there will not be money to change the setting of the team. Kuyt will still do his best to mimic a headless chicken no matter if Rafa or Hiddink, Capello, etc are on the bench...

I think Rafa will now be here next year, dont get me wrong i dont think he should be.
Jose Mourinhos price is too high, we can not give him the spending money he is looking for.
talks with Rafa and Juventus fell apart as they would not give him the power he has at Liverpool.
the amount of debt come out in the pres on friday
MON todays says that he will be happy to be at his club next year.
.............................I think the truth is that DUE TO OUR DEBT the owners can not find a big named manager to take the job if Rafa left.
Rafa all of a sudden thought me might have burnt his bridges with Liverpool over what his agent has said.....he run back to the club and started having meetings trying to keep his job and to play down the link with other clubs.
(what the bets that as soon as i post this liverpool sack him lol)
But who would Mourinho say no?
We are such a great club and he would have a chance to prove himself and make us challenging again with no money.
And he would be able to come back to the PL....

no money to buy new players, it eems that he has a rider on any contract that he can spend over 150/170 mil on players

I think Rafa is a top class manager. If he went Real Madrid next year, he would easily challenge for La Liga.
However...
He has lost control at Liverpool. I blame both him and the owners. I dont think the players want to play for Rafa. I think Stevie and Nando have lost all faith and without investment, they seriously may leave this summer.
For me, we first need new owners. Without new owners in first, we cant attract a decent new manager.
I dont dislike Rafa, I just feel its genuinly time for a change, a new sense of direction. It would give the existing players a new found belief and determination.
If somebody gave me 50 million pounds to spend as I saw fit at Liverpool, I would pay off Rafa and bring in Mourinho. ( I would do that before investing in new players!! Thats how much I would love to see Mourinho at the club. I dont think our sqaud is as bad as the league position says we are )
Just my opinion though...and hey, Rafa might still win us the league one day yet...but who can honestly call it in these uncertain times...

Penguins wrote:I do agree with that. I don't think Rafa has been tactically spot on this season, far from it to say the least.
But unlike others I believe there is no such thing as a fairytale manager who can improve things that significantly with the turmoil presently at the club. Every manager will make mistakes
and with the vermin selecting a manager, it makes me even less confident.
I am just annoyed when people say Rafa has been fully backed in the market to have us challenge every year which is a load of ****.
When Houllier had 15 million net to spend a season and Rafa has had 15 million the circumstances were totally different.
10 years ago 15 million was a lot of money and could buy practically everyone but the very best.
Now 15 million isn't that much(in the footballing world) and will hardly get you a top class player anymore.
Not to mention the fact that 10 years ago there was only Manure andwho was really "up there".
Since Rafa took over the playing field has totally changed.
Now, Chelski and City are just blowing everyone away with Spurs making noise also. Not to mention that Manure andis still there.
But we go on with the same backing as of 10 year ago and expect results. Not going to happen.
