No come on I'm getting fed up with this. The suggestion now is we have bought two players that have improved the team.
Disgraceful !!! Now what the fk did I do with John Henry's email address....  :grinning:

I like Toure. Even when he messes up its funny. He seems sometimes to enter scene left, fly through the box without touching anything or anyone, then exit scene right. When he keeps his cool though, he's a real class act. Kinda the Samuel L Jackson of football.

Yes Carra did play with his heart and soul and was a rock for us for 16 years plus. Can't understand the need to dismiss players that have retired or have left to boost up a new arrival.

Which is the tea lady then? I've got visions of Toure tasting and spitting the tea, saying 'wtf?' Then making the team a cuppa with his league winning formula. Morale has thus improved, immensely hehe

not saying he's a world beater but he's still discernably better than what we've got. a constant talker on the field and a lot quicker than carragher. not to mention better in the air.

Certainly not going to compare to Carra. But if we don't get a quality CB in before the end of the window then we will suffer during the season. When we come up against the top quality players he will suffer with their superior movement on and off the ball. Good to be there as a back up but certainly not as a starter week in week out.

I'm not getting carried away. KT is very useful but he ain't Sammy but there again not many are. Next week will be a much tougher test for him. Good lad though.

Toure was brilliant against Villa and Benteke ,and he marshalled our defence with real authority ...He's made the loss of Carragher
look decidedly less painful than what some had envisaged. In fact alongside Mignolet ,he may possibly prove the best signing Rodgers
has made thus far.

Yet he lost Benteke in the last couple of mins which nearly cost us bar a great save from Mignolet. Brilliant isnt a word that should be used to describe any player yesterday bar Sturridges finish IMO.

Toure had a decent game - just like in the first game. If those performances can be described as brilliant then standards have slipped.

toure had a very good game against a striker who is a handful for anyone, my only concern is that he has sat on the sidelines for the best part of 2 seasons at city and i`m just wondering if his body will cope if he has to play week in week out for 9 solid months.

He looks like the consummate professional mate ,certainly looks fit enough to last the course.

Postby red till i die!! » Sun Aug 25, 2013 9:13 pm

he has done very well since he has come in and gives it his all which is all we can as of him. another great performance yesterday and while i do get the concerns about the amount of games he has played in the last 2 seasons, i dont think it will be a problem. he would have been playing in the reserves so at least its something, it could be a bonus for us but so far he looks flying fit.
the one i would be fearful of is his tendency to just go for it, yesterday from a set piece he was on benteke and just left him to attack the ball, agger rose in front and half headed clear but if it had of got a touch on benteke was in.
i thought he was prone to that since his arsenal days and now that he has got off to a great start i feel like im nit-picking by mentioning it

Still here - and can't give credit where it's due on old "Joe Cole MKII" hey.

Has made Agger look average.
