Very shrewd signing by BR. Brings experience, communication and leadership to the back-line. Think he will be a bit part player when everyone fit or another signing made but more than capable of doing a good job for us.

very good yesterday, as a unit the defence had one or two wobbly moments but stoke are not an easy side to defend against.
against direct teams its vital that you dont let their striker flick balls on and have it bouncing around your penalty area and to be fair to kolo he won his fair share of headers from first phase hoofs by attacking the ball aggressively.
looks to be a bit of a leader too, if he plays like that all season bringing him in on a free will be an inspired bit of business.

Looks to be good at attacking set plays too. That was something that Carra lacked. At least now we have a few options when we hoof the ball in the penalty box during free kicks and corners.

Also the only one in the squad with a Premiership title to his name I think? That would hopefully help as we need someone who's been there and done that if we're gonna challenge for Top 4

Actually I think Carra hit the bar in his last match.  Granted it wasn't from a set piece.  But yeah, before that , I think you would need two hands to count the years since Carra's last chance.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Toure looked solid at the back ,so he deserves the plaudits. Its simply not about Carragher any more ,anyway the latter is trying desperately to endear
himself to Sky Sports watchers.....I thought he was brought in specifically with the intention of playing devils advocate to Ratboy ,but it seems they
concur rather embarrassingly (from a reds fans perspective that is) about everything.

Toure was a monster on Saturday ,Carragher simply isn't in the picture any more.

I think he looks more of a goal threat from set-pieces too.

Carragher doesn't play for us anymore so this kind of talk is disrespectful.

Had a few quid on Toure as first scorer so was gutted when he smashed the bar!   :D

Kolo Toure battled well and help kept and inform Benteke off the scoresheet - something both Chelsea and Arsenal failed to do.

Well done Kolo  :buttrock

No offense to Carra but we have improved on him with Toure.

I actually feel comfortable knowing he is playing unlike Skrtel who inspires... :wwww  fooking terror

But...but Carra played with his heart and soul...

I like Toure. Even when he messes up its funny. He seems sometimes to enter scene left, fly through the box without touching anything or anyone, then exit scene right. When he keeps his cool though, he's a real class act. Kinda the Samuel L Jackson of football.
