some people need to remember that this was the fella that said his one aim in life was to knock us off our `f##king perch`.
thats without mentioning other things like him doing everything within his power to stop gabriel heinze signing for us, or what about him telling this club in a live tv interview that went right across the world that we should sell suarez (something even his LMA lackeys thought was out of order, telling another club what to do)
remember him trying to cause trouble by saying that dalglish lost his job over suarez?
speaking of LMA lackeys remember ferguson saying rafa`s gesture to alonso was disrespectful to allardyce?
what about him chirping in when rafa inadvertantly called everton a smaller club (the fact that rafa is foreign and cant speak great english didnt matter to ferguson, it was just another opportunity to stick the boot in)
he even said recently that rafa was lucky to get the chelsea job given his CV.
remember him having the gall to call torres a diver when in the same game nani should have won an oscar? (the game when hodgson tried to laugh it off).
remember him calling suarez a diver when we beat them 3-1?
i could go on for hours

Moyes going to United can only be good for us, weakens our two biggest rivals in one fell swoop!

United are in pretty good shape and Moyes knows the Premiership inside out, so don't expect them to crash and finish 6th next year, simply isn't going to happen.  He might even win the title next year.  It's how this effects United in the long term that's interesting, he can't top Ferguson so that means they're only going one way and that's down.  If they don't win a trophy next season then the old 'Moyes never wins trophies' line will start to get used by the media and he'll come under intense pressure that could ruin him.  After all the only league he's ever won was league one with Preston.  Slur Alex hanging around as a director might bring the wrong sort of pressure and it'll be interesting to see how that dynamic plays out.  If they bomb out of the CL early then the media can also use the 'lack of European experience' stick to beat him with.  Can't wait!

Moyes was a great fit for Everton though and they'll be weaker without him (although they might have a chance of winning a game at Anfield now!).  There might be a bit of an exodus of players from Everton there too as a few of them I believe would stay there for Moyes but maybe not for a Martinez or whoever else they get - the likes of Fellaini, Baines and Jagielka might feel they have bigger fish to fry.  I have a feeling he might even take Baines with him.  Then you've got Howard, Distin, Hibbert, Osman the wrong side of 30 and the club captain Neville leaving too.  I predict now they'll struggle to make top 10 next season.  Moyes knows that team is coming to the end of their cycle too and he'd struggle to rebuild it on his budget.  He's leaving when his stock will never be higher.

All in all, as I see it Everton could really struggle next season, and at the same time Moyes has a lot still to prove to United fans -you can't have bigger boots to fill and he now has to prove himself with a decent transfer budget (No more hiding behind that 'I've got no money' excuse David) and in the Champions League.

Don't think there's any doubt he's got more chance of winning the title before us.  That's no reflection of how he's going to do there in the long term though.  It's still Ferguson's team and Ferguson's staff.  Like I said they're pretty well set for the next few seasons.

i think he`ll struggle, he`s spent 11 years playing direct footy and i cant see him suddenly turning into rinus michels overnight.
after 27 years of free flowing, attacking, win-at-all-costs football i cant see their fans liking moyes brand of footy.
united won a lot of games last season but most of them were close run affairs, they werent brushing teams aside, i think fergusons know how got them over the line, moyes isnt inheriting a great side imo.
a lot of top players joined united because they knew they`d win things, with moyes now in charge that guarentee that you`ll end up with a cabinet full of medals if you join united isnt there anymore.

I think he is going to surprise a few people

He tailored his tactics to suit the players he could buy

With better players at his disposal he will do better

He won't try and change much with them.

he`s going to a club where a draw is seen as a bad result, 2 draws on the bounce against mid table opposition is seen as a mini crisis at old trafford. lets see how he handles that pressure.
people forget that as well as he has done in the last couple of years he almost took everton down a couple of times too, he didnt even get preston out of the championship.

Yet he has managed to keep ahead of us in recent times despite minimal investment in the team.

Any talk of the demise of the Scum is a bit premature at the moment

They will win a trophy next season and comfortably qualify for CL

winning a cup and finishing in the top 4 isn't enough. The Mancs already have fans saying Moyes isn't the man and he hasn't even parked his motor in the car park....the pressure will be huge and that will be half the game for him.

At Everton there was no pressure...no expectation other than not to get relegated.  He'll have a 3 week honeymoon and then the knives will be out. Mark my words

To be fair, I have always liked Moyes....as a person. He's a decent, honest bloke. Deserved a chance at another bigger club.
I just wish him the worst now because he went to Mordor.....

And he will be protected by Slur who pretty much appointed him

Slur will make sure it will be business as usual for them
