@BenSmithBBC: As I understand it #NUFC's loan offer for Andy Carroll was not taken seriously by #LFC and has been/will be rejected.

I think we will take an offer around 10-15m for Carroll, it's a loss but at least we cut our losses quickly and move on

Think that's frankly pathetic if we do and I'm very worried about the club allowing such and unproven inexperienced manager have such control. He better get things right.

I don't think we will get anywhere near 20m for Carroll Benny, I would love for him to stay, but the gaffer doesn't seem to fancy him so I think FSG will look to cut their losses before it becomes another Aquilani situation

I think it's very wrong to not even see him at training , see how he goes.

Rodgers better get things right if he is willing to get rid for big losses.

I can see it now as next season we huff and puff and struggle to pass through a defence and we look for a different option to use and we haven't got one.

Ill second that. Big mistake if we get rid of him for anything less than 20mill. Even then, I'd expect that money to be invested in bringing in a top quality forward to give us more options upfront.

All in all, can't say I'm to thrilled about how Rodgers is approaching the whole Carroll situation.

looks like we're prepared to listen to offers, but only for a sale.  As many have said, i can't see anyone paying big money for Carroll so i imagine he'll stay and be able to fight for his place.

Am please to see the club has taken the high ground and told the Barcodes to pay up or f**k off  :nod

Pretty much spot on mate

These rumours were started in the first place because of Rodgers.

I'm not impressed as well and if Carroll does stay and we get nothing from the manager i wonder how his confidence will be

very silly to sell or indeed loan him out without at least seeing if he can adapt his game to suit.
massive decision for rodgers here but i fear he's already made up his mind and andy will leave.

F**k off with this loan s**t already.

We are not going to loan out a 35 million dollar purchase from 18 months ago, no matter who comes calling for him.

If Newcastle were serious they would have made us an offer up front not this loan garbage.

Seriously we should be sending them a loan request for Cisse, Demba Ba and Cabaye and offering them $1,000,000 for each of them, just to put those barcode f**ktards in their place. Rodgers needs to grow some balls and show why he is our manager coming out breathing f**king fire. I really don't care if Carroll is sold but not for under 20 million and not back to f**king Newcastle United who are taking the absolute p**s out of this club.

eds you bring up a good question tho.  Any players we'd be willing to swap with newcastle for Carroll? Cisse, Cabaye or Tiote possibly?  I really want to keep the big guy, but if we do end up selling him I don't want us to get garbage for him.

i don't think so. If anything, Rodgers is looking to raise funds and bring in his own targets...like Walcott
