Impressed with how he conducted himself during the Press Conference. Looking forward to next season. Pass and Move, We started doing that under KK, now, more of it, but with a new twist, and fresh ideas, just what the doctor ordered.

Boxscarf, this is the sort of thing you should stop saying mate!

Why? Kenny was our manager last season, Brendan is our manager this season and hopefully long into the future. I don't see the point in bringing Kenny into things. Rodgers has said there is money for him to spend and hopefully that money will be spent well. Alan Pardew has shown that you don't have to spend a lot of money to build a good squad.

Prior to his press conference it was 53% yes and 47% no, that's all.

Gylfi Sigurdsson, 22, has not completed his move to Swansea yet therefore that would leave it open for him to join Liverpool.

If I was a Swansea supporter I'd be fuming at this piece of news. £6.8m isn't such a bad transfer fee for a good player.

Hopefully there won't be anymore ridiculous transfer fees being thrown about, I still feel sick about Downing costing us £20m for 0 assists and 0 goals in the league last season.

who votes on those things though? how many anfield regulars do you think vote on sky sports news polls?
if you werent impressed by what rodgers said and how he conducted himself in that interview then there`s something wrong with you (not saying you specifically just making a general point).
he was realistic but optimistic and also showed that he is his own man when he left no one in doubt about his thoughts on working under a DoF.
i found him really, really impressive, it`s early days yet but i think he has really struck a chord with the locals in that press conference, when mourinho impressed all the people down south with his arrogance and `special one` soundbyte i think rodgers has done something similar but obviously in a different way.
there was something inate in mourinho`s character that a lot of southerners related to and i think there is something inate in rodgers character that a lot of scousers will relate and warm to. i really hope this fella succeeds here, he deserves to.
well done to FSG as well.

he praised the guy for his attitude and conduct - just because he criticised managers of their ilk doesn't mean they can't win him round...

how many supporters of other clubs will say 'no' in that poll to put pressure on Rodgers and FSG? I would never vote no til I've seen what he has to offer

The point is you don't criticise a manager until they come into your club and have a fair go at things. The comments regarding Martinez and Rodgers from people like this fella with the weird username were nothing short of disgusting.

No doubt he'll go around the board preaching his Liverpool Way mantra as per usual all the while not really following it himself, or when it suits him and his agenda. He wants a career in Politics does that lad, nevermind a builder, he could be Labour's very own Boris Johnson.
