Those two things have killed us all season.

We don't address those two positions in the summer, next year will be the same "hard luck" story.

Spearing, Shelvey, Henderson... two from three will play against Chelsea at Wembley. *shudders*

If Kenny does stay in charge next season, and its a big if after the reports in the media, he has to sort out the two problems that has destroyed our league season.

your talking ***** mate.

today our midfielder was spot on and thats why we had so many shots. "lack a finisher" bit hard to get the ball in the net when you have ten players standing on it.

I find it hard to believe we can 'blame' anybody other than those that tried to finish 33 attempts on goal. With that many attempts it would suggest something is working right, its those trying to finish that are gettin it wrong. I kind of agree with chuckin Sterling in, but totally understand that with a Cup Final to come he aint got enough time to get into playin for the first team, so we're stuck with those that seem blind in front of goal.

33 attempts. unbelievable.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Surely when we've created as many chances as we have over the whole season we'd see some improvement in goalscoring ability but we haven't and if anything it's getting worse.

We had 22 shots at goal today with a piddling 6 on target, unacceptable.

I don't think it's the coaching, I think's the quality of the players!

You joke but seriously this is all they should be training on, shooting practice for the entire team until they get a hit rate above 50%, the whole team is absolutely pathetic at scoring goals and seemingly management hasn't done a damn thing to fix it all season.
incidentally hitting the post is not bad luck it's called a miss, perhaps a near miss but still a miss which would not happen if th eplayers improved their accuracy.

i thought Suarez was rather selfish today. there were a few instances where he could have made a pass across the box to a team mate who was free and in a better shooting position but he chose to shoot instead.

6 yes but they now dont count the ones that are block by other players, put it this way we had 4 shots on target in 30 secs in that game but only count as one on target......and that happend 5 times during that game.

But at the same time he created pretty much everything else today. Strikers are always supposed to be a bit selfish.

Liverpool racked up 28 shots on goal at Anfield today. A more telling stat is that they have converted that sort of dominance into less home wins than Blackburn this season.

That says it all.

We're playing like relegation candidates.

Don't forget Owen was chucked right into the first team. There really is no sense leaving Sterling out of the team right now even if only as a sub.

And those saying Kenny must leave NOW need to remember that it's a team effort and lots are getting it wrong right now all throughout the club. If Kenny was to step down and a new man came in, we'd have to hope he had a storming end to the season else he'd be beginning his career trying to make these "rubbish" players into winners. That would spoil the beginning of his tenure. And that would be insane.

seeing as we have no natural right winger, why the hell don't we play Johnson as right wing instead of right-back where he has never really convinced in a defensive capacity. In other words play Kelly and Johnson, I think it's called thinking outside the box and is what good managers do. another cool thing is having more than one strategy and another is identifying flaws in the team and fixing them, like the fact that no one in our team is good at scoring goals.

So you mean we had even more shots without a goal than the stats say?  :(

Suarez's decision making is poor and that's why I'll never rate him as highly as most Liverpool supporters. Give me a fully fit, fully confident Fernando Torres of the 2007-08 season over Luis Suarez anyday.

There is no point in sacking Kenny now, but i expect FSG will consider it at the end of the season.

No we are not,

people need to step back for a second and take heed of what is actually happening on the pitch. We are not playing terrible football, we are not getting rolled over and we are creating plenty of chances. The problem is that we are not scoring goals. Perspective required by so many doom and gloomers on here. There is a very fine line between us being the side we are now to one that is challenging for the the top four and beyond. The same cant be said about f*cking Blackburn.
