Theres no doubting that the owners will be concerned at our alarming loss of form in the league, but like Shankley said, they are only there to sign the cheques.
We the fans are far more important and it is us who will have to get behind the manager and the team in this time of disappointment and fear. We are playing badly as a team and you constantly repeating that its Carrolls fault shows that you are clueless to whats going on. This makes me question whether you are a Liverpool supporter at all because your glee at our demise is disturbing to say the least, "A dog with a bone" is an understatement as far as how overjoyed you are to tell us how right you are and put the boot in. Even if you are correct with your assumptions it comes across that you are actually revelling in the fact that we are struggling at the moment.

When you win you are content and therefore much less likely to comment, when you lose you are far from content and therefore much more likely to comment. Human nature. Phone ins/match day threads etc etc are never busier after a defeat. Regards Carrolll...i have listed all the british signings as being the prime reason for our dreadful season, obviously its not solely down to him, hes just the main part of the cause. Its common knowledge that if we have a decent #9 we would be having a very different season.

different generation of fans them though mate, they were a great generation, vociferous, loyal, loud....it was them who made the name spion kop famous throughout the world.
back then teams were genuinely intimidated by the atmosphere
these days people just sit on their @rses and f**k around with their phones as the away fans sing `where`s your famous atmosphere?`

Shanks worked from an ethic of hard work, pride in wearing the shirt, and embracing modern tactics.  Everything that's lacking from our team and set up at present.

I've been a red from the mid '80s...going to Anfield since the early 90s. We're a shambles and pretending this is all part of a greater plan is a joke. As someone said on another thread, Kenny needs to grasp the nettle and clear out some of the sh!te he brought in and accept it hasn't worked. That would install belief and unite the fans.

We DID spend alot of money since Kenny's appointment. City's Aguero is also signed at 35 mil isnt it not? Whoever you ask, even then would pick Aguero over Caroll. However, Aguero may not want to come to LFC. That i think is the problem.

Just look at Phil Jones vs Coates, Young vs Downing, it is easy to see that we are losing appeal to top players. It is going to spiral to more problems unless we bucked up in our performances.

Let's not paint our fan base of the 1960's out to be complete angels who never once uttered a criticism of Shankly or any of the players he signed.

Also comparing things back then to now is simply not the same, under Shankly the club never had billionaire owners who pumped in over £100m worth of investment. Shankly took an underachieving club in the second division with a decrepit stadium. The situation that Kenny finds himself in, in 2012 is not the same situation that Shankly found himself in, in 1960.

teams storming past us, well you have Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle and with one more loss possible Everton, Sunderland and even swansea ffs and don't even get me started on Manure and Citeh as they are in a completely different league to us these days.

i have to say that at the time I was very optimistic about kenny coming in, less so about Comolli but at that time I was just over the moon that we'd finally got rid of twit and tw@t.

I always saw kenny as a stop gap manager and I'm fairly certain that FSG did as well, I just hope they have a new manager lined up already.
